Chromoendoscopy superior for dysplasia detection, but more training needed
In many studies, chromoendoscopy has proved superior to random biopsies for dysplasia detection in inflammatory bowel disease surveillance programs. But the technique remains a supplement to biopsy sampling, mainly due to a lack of widespread expertise.

More treatment options for anti-TNF-resistant inflammatory bowel disease
Ustekinumab was recently approved for patients with Crohn's disease who fail to respond to anti-TNF agents. Oral tofacitinib may be approved for ulcerative colitis by the end of 2017.
