Research identifies molecular mechanism underlying LMO1-mediated neuroblastoma spread
Genetic analyses using zebrafish demonstrate that the LMO1 and MYCN genes cooperate to accelerate tumor onset and increase tumor penetrance. Increased expression of the LMO1 gene is associated with aggressive, high-risk neuroblastomas, which most commonly occur in young children.
